Aetna names Karen Rohan president, Mark Bertolini remains chairman and CEO

Aetna is naming Karen Rohan as its new president, taking over from Mark Bertolini, who will remain chairman and CEO.

The health insurer says Rohan will now oversee its national, government and specialty businesses. Rohan, 51, is currently head of local and regional businesses.

The executive joined Aetna in 2012.

The Hartford, Connecticut-based company also said Monday that Joseph Zubretsky will remain executive vice president, focusing on the Healthagen unit, which provides health and technology services. Previously he oversaw the national business.

Aetna says the changes go into effect Jan. 1.
