Aeropostale Jumps On Its Plan To Open Licensed Stores In India, Indonesia

Aeropostale Inc. shares jumped 12% to $1.83 on Thursday after the teen clothing retailer said it will open licensed stores in India and Indonesia. In India, the plan includes 50 standalone locations and 150 in-store shops and online sales over the next five years, beginning in March 2016. Aeropostale Chief Executive Julian Geiger, struggling to turn around its domestic business, said the global expansion move followed the brand's "successful launch" in the Philippines and Singapore.
