Actavis changes name to Allergan after $70.5 billion takeover

Actavis said Monday that it has changed its name to Allergan, three months after buying the Botox maker for about $70.5 billion.

The company has also changed its stock symbol to "AGN" on the New York Stock Exchange.

Based in Dublin, Allergan PLC's brands include wrinkle-reducing treatment Botox and eyelash grower Latisse.

Its shares fell $1.78 to $297.20 in morning trading Monday.
