32 Tanks Enter Ukraine From Russia On Friday: Reports
Ukraine's military said a convoy of 32 tanks and 16 cannons and 30 trucks bearing troops and equipment had entered the country from Russia on Friday, AFP and Reuters reported, citing the Ukraine military. The movement came amid fresh fighting on the border that has killed five. Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin had met with top military officials to discuss the developments. Andrei Purgin, deputy prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, said an "all-out war" had been launched by the Ukrainian army on rebel positions, Reuters reported, citing the Russian news agency RIA. That was denied by a Ukrainian military spokesman. The deterioration on the border comes as Russia battles to keep its currency from collapsing.
