30-year Fixed-rate Mortgage Stays Below 4% In Latest Week
The benchmark 30-year fixed-rate mortgage fell to 3.97% in the week ending Nov. 26, down from 3.99%, mortgage buyer Freddie Mac said Wednesday. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.17%, the 5-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable rate mortgage averaged 3.01% and the 1-year Treasury-indexed ARM averaged 2.44%, with all three rates unchanged from the prior week.
