2 Ohio women sue after receiving sperm from a black donor instead of a white donor

An Ohio woman has sued a Chicago-area sperm bank after she became pregnant with sperm donated by a black man instead of a white man as she'd intended.

Uniontown resident Jennifer Cramblett says she found out she was impregnated with the wrong sperm in April 2012 while five months pregnant with her daughter Payton. Cramblett says she and her partner, Amanda Zinkon, had carefully examined donor profiles at Midwest Sperm Bank to find a match based on physical characteristics, education and family history.

Cramblett and Zinkon are white. Cramblett says they love their daughter very much.

Their lawsuit seeks more than $50,000.

Telephone calls to Midwest Sperm Bank on Wednesday haven't been returned.
