According to a recent survey from the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, less than 60% of Americans said they were "somewhat" or "very" confident that they will be able to retire comfortably.

The sad reality in America is that many people are saving too little for retirement or, worse yet, not saving at all. There are plenty of excuses for not doing so. For example, many people think they're too young to need to worry about it, or too old to get started. And others think they simply can't afford to save.
