UFC ringside seats: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump expected at fight

While they’re used to taking in verbal jabs from the debate stage, Donald Trump Jr. and his brother Eric will take a break from politics Saturday, and instead take in a fight only meant for the ocatagon.

TMZ reports the sons of President Trump will be front and center for a UFC welterweight match between Colby Covington and Robbie Lawler. The President himself sent a good luck tweet late Saturday.

Earlier this week, Covington – sporting a MAGA hat – assured TMZ cameramen the brothers would be supporting his efforts to “retire” Lawler.

The Trumps are no strangers to the fighting franchise.

UFC President Dana White, who spoke at the Republican National Convention in July 2016, has been outspoken on his support for the president, telling “OBJECTified” host Harvey Levin in 2018 that he would never say anything negative about Trump.

He credits the president’s support to part of his success when nobody would believe in the brand.

“No arenas wanted us,” White explained.

“This guy reached out and he’s always been a friend to me. The guy’s always been a friend of me. Donald Trump has never done anything remotely negative to me ever – except to try to compete with me. I’m not going to say anything negative about him and I never have.”

The afternoon fight at the Prudential Center is expected to draw a packed house. Tickets start around $70 depending on the view. To get up close and personal - according to online sales - a few rows back on the floor go for nearly $600 each.

Here are some of the celebs who have splurged on the cageside seats:

Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron & Madonna

Actor and singer, Hugh Jackman, is a huge fan of the UFC. He sat ringside at the historic first-ever UFC event in New York state, which was the UFC 205 between Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor.

It was a legendary night for McGregor who became the first dual two-division UFC champion after defeating Alvarez. Jackman has also been spotted sitting next to co-star Zac Efron and singer, Madonna.

Madonna attended the historic UFC 205 in New York City, where she sat in between Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman and were seen to be having a great time together, according to Fansided. Zac Efron even said “[Madonna] was calling out things about the fight,” noting how much of a true UFC fan she is.

Besides watching McGregor defeat Alvarez with Madonna, Zac Efron has been spotted many other times at UFC fights. He is supposedly a huge fan of McGregor and told Jimmy Kimmel after the UFC 205, “I’m a big Conor McGregor fan, so I was very excited to see that fight. So as you get closer to the front, the seats get named because I was sitting cage side. I was really very close to this fight. I kept getting closer and closer and I wasn’t seeing my name, and I knew it was in the front row and then I see several famous people, I see Madonna and then ‘Zac Efron’ and I’m like ‘what?’ and then it just ended.”

Demi Lovato

The actress and singer has been spotted ringside at UFC and Bellator events since the days she was dating Wilmer Valderrama and Guilherme Vasconcelos. Lovato and UFC fighter, Luke Rockhold, began dating after he won his title. She has even said in the past that she wanted to participate in a fight herself, Fansided stated. Lovato even sang the National Anthem in the legendary fight, Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor.

Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell is also a huge fan of UFC and it’s evident that she has knowledge of the sport when you look at her twitter timeline during a match. “O’Donnell is no casual fan,” Fansided said. She has been seen ringside at both UFC 128, where Jon Jones fought Shogun Rua and UFC 169, where it was Renan Barão vs. Urijah Faber. O’Donnell has been a huge fan of Faber for a long time, dating back to his WEC days, Fansided noted.

Olivia Munn

The UFC superfan, Olivia Munn, has been spotted a countless number of times cage side, which includes UFC 145, where Jon Jones defeated Rashad Evans. The American actress and model is also friends with UFC president, Dana White and presented the Visionary Award to White at the 2014 Sports Spectacular Gala.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dog has made his love for UFC into a job where he posts videos of his reactions to fights on YouTube. He played a role commenting on “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.” Some loved his comments, while others took offense, including some fighters.
