U.S. stocks opened sharply higher on Monday, with the Dow industrials rising triple digits shortly after the opening bell. Monday's solid gains followed a rally on Friday after Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen's dovish comments lent support to the bulls. The S&P 500 opened 16 points, or 0.8%, higher at 2,077. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 217 points, or 1.2%, to 17,922. The Nasdaq Composite began the session up 37 points, or 0.8%, to 4,928.
