U.S. Stocks Edge Higher At The Open

U.S. stocks , after a momentary wobble, edged higher in early trade Thursday as investors assessed a raft economic reports, such as weekly jobless claims and international trade. The main benchmarks were set to end the holiday-shortened week roughly where they started it. The S&P 500 added 2 points, or 0.1%, to 2,062. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 23 points, or 0.1% to 17,719. The Nasdaq Composite began the session up 5 points, or 0.1%, to 4,884.
