Ikea plans to discontinue an online magazine published on its Russian-language website because of concerns it could violate Russian laws banning the promotion of LGBT lifestyles. Ikea Family Live is published in 25 countries and contains ideas for home improvement, according to a company statement on Friday.. Ikea said the online publication depicts different aspects of people's lives at home, regardless of their age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality and religion. The company said that while it believes its content is appropriate for readers of all ages, it understands that some could be regarded as propaganda under a Russian law that bans the promotion of non-traditional sexual relations to minors, the statement said. Russian officials have yet to comment, according to a BBC report.
