Gap To Eliminate Creative Director Role; Rebekka Bay To Leave Company

Clothing retailer Gap Inc. said Thursday that Rebekka Bay, creative director for its namesake Gap brand was leaving the company, effective immediately. The San Francisco-based company said as part of "evaluating the right leadership structure for the brand" it is eliminating the creative director role altogether. Bay joined Gap in 2012. At the time, she was described as having "a passion for design and a deep understanding of what consumers want."
