Foreclosure Inventory Down By 25% Over The Last Year, CoreLogic Says

Foreclosure inventory has dropped by 25% in the year to April, and completed foreclosures fell by 20%, CoreLogic said Tuesday. As of April, the national foreclosure inventory included approximately 521,000 homes, or 1.4%, of all homes with a mortgage, CoreLogic added. The 40,000 completed foreclosures represents a decline of two-thirds from the peak in Sept. 2010. The number of mortgages in serious delinquency has dropped by 22% to 1.4 million.
