CBS And Dish Settle Fee Dispute

CBS Corp and Dish Network reached an multi-year agreement on Saturday, ending a dispute that led to a short programming blackout on Friday night. In a joint statement the companies said the agreement will result in the dismissal of pending litigation. Dish will carry CBS-owned TV stations nationwide, as well as cable channels, including the CBS Sports Network, Smithsonian Channel, TVGN and Showtime Networks. Under the agreement, consumers watching CBS-owned TV stations through Dish will not be able to skip commercials until seven days after a show airs. The Dish-CBS agreement covers CBS-owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and several other cities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
