Welfare Recipients Spending Taxpayer Dollars at Strip Clubs, Liquor Stores

Ever wonder where all your taxpayer dollars go? Well, a new survey shows some disturbing destinations.

Like this one- The Club Eleven. Cops have been cracking down on this Bronx club for years. Last summer, five men were stabbed there, and two others were shot outside after bouncers broke up the party with pepper spray at 4 A.M. Welfare recipients were able to make cash withdrawals from the food stamp cards at the strip club's EBT machine.

And it's not all that unusual. According to the New York Post, welfare recipients in the Big Apple spend welfare money in bars, liquor stores, X-rated video shops, hookah parlors, and yes, strip clubs.

How much money? Well, a family of four could get monthly benefits as much as $668 in food stamps, and $433 in cash. Only the cash portion of the benefits, which is meant for housing, utilities, and household necessities, can be accessed at an ATM.

Legislation in Albany that would ban welfare withdrawals at gambling dens and strip clubs languishes for support. Liberals believe reform will "hurt the poor."

Meanwhile, Remember Octomom? Nadya Suleman, the mother of 14, is back on the dole in California. The one-time celebrity is back on the dole five months after coming off welfare and eight months after she filed for bankruptcy.

Two words: personal responsibility. More of us need to take responsibility for our actions and our lives.

Government should know how its money is being spent, pardon me, how our money is being spent!
