Website for Social Media Crimestoppers
Small Business Spotlight: Connected To The Case
Who: Morgan Wright, @C2Case
What: A website for social media crimestoppers
When: 2012
Where: Washington, DC
How: According to its founder, Connected To The Case operates under the assumption that we are all connected to victims, suspects and missing persons. By crowdsourcing tips from users on social media, the company says law enforcement will be better able to develop leads and tips, and work more efficiently to find missing persons and wanted fugitives.
The company's model is “Click – Connect – Share – Solve.” The belief is that every share and tweet helps make a difference when it comes to solving crimes.
Quote from the owner: “We've had significant interest from all levels of law enforcement, including one federal agency which said that this was ‘The future of law enforcement.’ ”
We’re highlighting small businesses from around the country as nominated by you, our readers. If your favorite small business is using Twitter to communicate with customers, let us know about it @fbsmallbiz with the hashtag #mysbc, and it may be featured as an upcoming Small Business Spotlight.
