Utilities Up as Earnings Come in Strong -- Utilities Roundup

Shares of power-plant operators rose as earnings came in generally strong. Shares of German utility RWE rose after it reported earnings ahead of expectations, boosted by demand for heating after an unusually cold winter in parts of Europe. Rival E.On sold bonds to raise money for decommissioning nuclear waste.
