Utilities Drift Down as Market Awaits Data -- Utilities Roundup

Shares of utilities drifted down ahead of key economic data next week.

Coal-mine companies in the U.S. and Germany are experimenting with an old system called "pump storage," which would use the mines' structure to store electricity produced by renewable energy by means of two hydro-electric pools.
