National Weekly Rice Summary

Domestic Trend

In the south, long grain milled rice prices steady to firm; medium grain

milled rice prices 2.00-3.00 higher. Parboiled prices steady. Second heads

mostly steady, instances 1.00 higher in Arkansas and Brewers steady. Rice by-

products: Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls steady.

In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady. Second heads and

Brewers steady. Rice by-products: Rice Bran prices steady; Rice hulls market

not established. Mills are having to pay for disposal of rice hulls.

CME Rough Rice settlements for Tuesday 16th, Mar 18 closed .335 higher at

12.145; May 18 closed .33 higher at 12.41; Jly 18 closed .28 higher at 12.59.

US dollar index on Monday settled at 90.44.
