UberCentral Lets Businesses Book, Manage Multiple Ubers

Need a ride? Whether you're a small business owner or in charge of travel arrangements at your company, Uber is looking to make your life a little bit easier by giving you a better way to book Uber cars for others.

UberCentral is an all-in-one approach to booking, managing, and paying for multiple Uber trips. The dashboard can be accessed via a standard Web browser or by using the Uber app on one's tablet—sorry, smartphone fans. With it, travel planners will be able to request (and track) several rides simultaneously and pay for them all from a centralized dashboard.

Those traveling on your company's behalf will receive an SMS message indicating the details of their trip (and the Uber driver picking them up), as well as a live link to an online map they can use to help them out. In other words, riders won't need the Uber app, or even a smartphone, when a company is booking travel plans via UberCentral.

"At Uber, our mission is to provide convenient, reliable transportation for everyone, everywhere. And we aren't alone. Many businesses want to make it easier for their customers to go about their day — whether they're picking up a last minute gift, dropping the car off for an oil change, or heading to an appointment. That's why we're excited to launch UberCentral, a new way for businesses to connect with their customers," reads Uber's description.

"UberCentral is a dashboard that enables any business — large or small — to request, manage, and pay for multiple Uber rides on behalf of their customers. UberCentral is designed with all kinds of companies in mind — from senior centers and retailers to car dealerships, hotels, and more. Here's how businesses are already using UberCentral to provide a better customer experience."

UberCentral can be accessed by users in the US and Canada. If you live elsewhere, Uber will send you a notification about availability in your area if you sign up for the free service.
