Toshiba approves Chapter 11 filing for nuclear unit Westinghouse: Nikkei

The board of Japan's Toshiba Corp <6502.T> has approved a Chapter 11 filing for its U.S. nuclear unit Westinghouse, the Nikkei business daily reported on Wednesday.

A Toshiba spokeswoman said the company cannot comment on issues discussed at its board meetings.
