The company has a Career and Family Transitions program, which pairs moms-to-be with coaches to advise them on how to satisfy client and team expectations while they’re on their 22- week maternity leave. “We see big growth in terms of advancement in sponsorship for men and women—mentorship, business development and executive coaching,” says Owens.

The food manufacturer boasts a beauty salon, cafeteria, day care, gym and gas station at its headquarters, helping it nab a spot on the list Also, it offers a medical clinic with dental and vision care, Working Mother reports. (Reuters)

The tech company gives employees free and unlimited financial counseling sessions for a variety of budget issues, including getting a mortgage and starting a 529-college savings plan. Flex time is a top benefit at the audit, tax and advisory services firm, according to Working Mother. “There is no longer a divide on who is using flexibility,” says Owens. “Men and women are both taking advantage.”
7. Prudential Financial
The financial services firm allows new moms to take up to 26 job-guaranteed weeks off, with nine partially-paid, the survey says. More paid maternity leave is becoming a trend, says Owens. “Beyond the top 10, the overall average of full-paid maternity leaves [at companies] has gone up from seven companies to eight,” she says. “It’s heart warming that the number keeps inching upward.”
8. Procter & Gamble
The consumer goods giant had a team of work-life professionals visit six of its top locations to address care-giving challenges, health and wellness issues, legal and financial issues and more for 2, 5000+ workers, helping it make the top ten this year. (Reuters)

This audit, tax and advisory services firm promote “truth-telling” among parents in women’s networking groups within the company, Working Mother says. There is also a “Women Upfront” online community for career and parenting issues featuring videos, webcasts and more.

Alternative Work options are what helped WellStar round out the top 10, with 95% of workers using some kind of flex time at the health-care organization.
