As college football fans welcome a new semester and the start of football season, some can expect to pay more to view their alma mater or hometown heroes from within the stadium. Ticket search engine SeatGeek breaks down which college programs charge the most for home games.

LSU Tigers $315 The AP No. 2 ranked Tigers draw more than 92,000 people at each home game and garner the highest ticket price of any college team.

Nebraska Cornhuskers $222 The latest addition to the Big Ten tops the conference and holds an ongoing NCAA record of 312 consecutive sellouts, which began in 1962.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish $196 The Irish faithful continue to pay a hefty price despite the lack of recent success from the team.

Oklahoma Sooners $194 The Sooners continue to bring more than 82,000 people to Norman Stadium each home game. It might cost nearly $200 per ticket, but who wouldn’t pay that much to see the No. 1 team in college football live?  

Alabama Crimson Tide $182 To “Roll Tide” you better be ready to pay the price, a ticket to Bryant-Denny stadium is difficult to come by.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane $176 A surprise addition to the list, Tulsa ranks much higher than any other team in Conference USA with fans paying $176 for one of the 30,000 seats in Skelly Field at H. A. Chapman Stadium.

Georgia Bulldogs $170 Nearly 93,000 people flock each week to watch the bulldogs play at Sanford Stadium.

Ohio State Buckeyes $153 Buckeye fans continue to fill the first 100,000 seat stadium on the list as they look to rebound from an offseason of turmoil.

Michigan Wolverines $149 The Big House is packed week in and week out while holding nearly 110,000 fans and maintaining the title of the world’s third largest stadium.

Penn State Nittany Lions $143 Beaver Stadium rounds out the list and is also the second largest stadium on the list behind Big 10 rival Michigan. More than 100,000 fans go each week to see Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lions.
