Steinhoff Says Amsterdam Court Decision Expected in January

Steinhoff International Holdings NV (SNH.JO) said in a release dated Wednesday that the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal has informed the company that it isn't ready to issue a decision regarding a petition brought by a former joint-venture partner.

On Sept. 18, Steinhoff International said that OM Handels GmbH and MW Handels GmbH--which were owned by the former partner--petitioned the court to order an investigation into the company's annual accounts for the year ended Sept. 30, 2016.

The court has told Steinhoff that it expects to issue a formal decision no later than Jan. 22, the company said.

Responding to the petition in September, Steinhoff said it rejected the move as unfounded.
