Small Business of the Day: Convert to WordPress

Who: Principal Andrew Anderson, 51, @WordPressPlace

What: A  Web-based company that helps businesses convert to WordPress, or build new Websites from scratch for their companies.

When: 2011

How: Anderson's background was in marketing consulting for other businesses seeking more Web exposure. From there, his interest in WordPress began.

"They have 68 million installations and counting, and there is a reason for that," Anderson said. "We decided to work with WordPress and abandon all other platforms."

Today, the company helps existing businesses either move their site to WordPress, or builds them a completely new WordPress site. Anderson said clients range from small startups to large companies.

In his own words: "We like working with small-to-medium size companies," he said. "For people just starting out—I was once there—and who really need assistance. But we also work with big clients."
