Siemens Gamesa to Supply 22 Turbines to Spanish Wind Farms

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (SGRE.MC) said Wednesday that it will supply 22 turbines to two Spanish wind farms currently under development by Gas Natural SDG SA (GAS.MC).

Gas Natural has ordered 15 of the company's 2.6 megawatt turbines and seven 3.5 megawatt turbines, Siemens Gamesa said in a press release.

This will be the first time these models have been installed in commercial wind farms in Spain, the company added.

Neither company disclosed financial details of the orders.

Siemens Gamesa said it expects to deliver the turbines during the third quarter of 2018, ahead of the plant's scheduled commissioning at the end of the year.
