Sands China First-Half Net Profit up 23% on Year

Sands China Ltd. (1928.HK) reported a 23% rise in net profit for the first half thanks to a recovery in China's gambling Mecca.

The casino operator said after markets closed Friday that its first-half net profit rose to US$678 million from a net profit of US$551 million a year earlier, with net revenue rising 19.5% to US$3.7 billion during the same period.
