Panama prohibits drones in national airspace during next week's Summit of the Americas
Panama is banning drones from national airspace immediately before, during and after next week's Summit of the Americas.
Civil Aeronautics director Rafael Fonseca Mora said Friday that the ban will be in effect April 5-13. U.S. President Barack Obama is among at least 30 regional leaders who are expected at the summit being held in Panama City April 10-11.
Fonseca Mora says the prohibition is being put in place for security reasons and to prevent problems for incoming and outgoing flights carrying the leaders attending the gathering.
