NFL Hiking Price of Super Bowl Tickets?
Football fans hoping to score tickets for Super Bowl XLVIII this February in New Jersey should prepare for a price hike.
The NFL is expected to green-light a plan this week that would increase the price of club-level Super Bowl seats to $2,600 a pop – more than double the $1,250 price-tag on New Orleans seats last year, reports FBN’s Lauren Simonetti.
The Super Bowl this year will be held on February 2, 2014 at Metlife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Simonetti reports other seat prices will be affected, as well. Lower-tier seats that were priced at $950 at last year’s game are expected to be priced around $1,500 this year.
In other sticker-price news, Tuesday marks the 1,000th consecutive day that the national average price of gas per-gallon topped $3, according to AAA. The average has not dipped under $3.00 since December 23, 2010. Today, the national average for a gallon of regular is $3.52, according to AAA's daily price tracking service.
