Microsoft already offers a similar feature on Word for Windows desktops; now PowerPoint users can try it out and see what others are typing on a given slide, as it happens. At this point, it's available in PowerPoint for Windows tablets and desktops for Office 365 subscribers in the Office Insider program.
Microsoft on Monday also announced several other collaboration features for Office, including the ability to upload attachments to the cloud from Outlook, and get notifications on your mobile device when someone edits one of your shared cloud documents.
Outlook already lets you attach cloud-based documents to an email, and now you can transform a traditional attachment into a shared cloud document right from Outlook. Upload a file to your own OneDrive or to an Office 365 group document library.
It's also easier to micromanage all your shared files. Get notifications in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on your mobile device when someone is making changes to one of your documents, so you always know what's happening.
There's also a new "Shared with Me" tab in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which, as its name suggests, makes it easy to find documents other people have shared with you without leaving the app you're in.
