Amazon's Kindle DXi is pictured here. The New York Times reported last week that Amazon has acquired the touch-screen technology company Touchco, which some analysts say indicates that Amazon is looking to beef up its Kindle offerings.
Like Apple, Amazon's got its own online music and movie store with competitive prices. It's not a far-fetched idea that future Kindles could include access to this media, making it a formidable alternative to the iPad. Though, of course, that's all speculation at this point.
