Hong Kong May-July Unemployment Rate Steady at 3.1%; Below Expectations

Hong Kong's unemployment rate for the May-July period was steady at 3.1% amid tight labor market and an improvement in tourism, the Census and Statistics Department said Thursday.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate was unchanged from the April-June period, and was below the median 3.2% forecast of four economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
