French industrial production unexpectedly fell in August as manufacturing output contracted from July, statistics showed Tuesday.
Industrial output in the eurozone's second-largest economy fell 0.3% in August from July, statistics agency Insee said. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had forecast a 0.4% rise.
