CBS News launches digital streaming news network, CBSN, offering coverage around the clock
CBS News says its coverage is now available through a digital streaming network that features live, anchored coverage 15 hours each weekday.
The ad-supported network, called CBSN, launched Thursday. It is available around the clock on Internet-connected TVs, mobile phones and other devices, CBS said.
Live coverage will initially span from 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern time in a 60-minute format allowing viewers to catch up with earlier segments as well as stick with live programming.
CBSN will carry simulcasts of CBS News special reports for breaking news, and offer additional content from CBS resources ranging from affiliate stations and CBSSports.com to CNET and "Entertainment Tonight."
The new CBS Interactive network is available on CBSNews.com and its mobile website, among other platforms.
