Apple Announces Oct. 4 iPhone Event

Apple on Tuesday announced an invitation-only special event at company headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., on Oct. 4.

"Let's Talk iPhone," the invitation reads. The company is widely expected to unveil its new iPhone 5 at the event.
