Alibaba chief Jack Ma says he wants to work with Hollywood studios, maybe Apple

The head of China's leading Internet conglomerate wants to bring American movies to China, along with other U.S. products.

Jack Ma, executive chairman of Alibaba Group, the Chinese e-commerce giant that just held a record stock debut on Wall Street, is visiting Hollywood film studios this week. He told a tech industry conference Monday night that he is "looking for partners" because "China will be the largest movie market in the world" in the next 10 or 15 years.

Alibaba operates several Internet services, including retail sites, online payments and streaming video. In response to a question, Ma also said he would be interested in teaming with Apple to bring its Apple Pay digital payments service to China.
