Airbus Receives Billion-Dollar Order From China Aircraft Leasing

Airbus SE (AIR.FR) said Friday that it has received a billion-dollar order for 50 A320neo aircraft from China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Ltd. (1848.HK), or CALC.

The 50 aircraft have a combined list price of $5.42 billion, before customary discounts that can significantly reduce the true value of the deal.

The purchase brings the order book of CALC, which leases aircraft to airlines, to 200 Airbus single-aisle aircraft to date, Airbus said.

"This bulk purchase will significantly expand CALC's fleet portfolio and further solidify our position as a full value-chain aircraft solutions provider," said CALC Chief Executive Mike Poon.
