The community-driven app relies on gas price information from users to display the most current prices at the pump. While you don’t have to participate, the app rewards you for reporting gas prices and helping out other budget-conscious drivers. To encourage gas price submissions, the apps offers users a chance of winning $250 in gas every week.

2. SaveOnBrew

With this free app, beer lovers can compare the price of their beverage of their choice based on their ZIP code. You can also search for prices on a specific brand of beer, store, type, container, quantity and price. Prices are updated daily, and according to the company, there are 250,000 to 350,000 beer sales available on the app at any given moment. You must be 21 years or older to use the app.

3. Priceblink

Priceblink is a free browser add-on that automatically finds lower prices on items you are shopping for online. While you are looking at a product, Priceblink will automatically scan more than 4,000 merchants for lower price offerings in addition to any store coupons of free-shipping or discount codes so you don’t have to waste time search on your own. According to the company, the add-on has been downloaded more than 600,000 times and has helped shoppers find close to $1 billion in savings.

4. KidsEatFor

Anyone who has kids, particularly young ones, knows that eating out can be a big waste of money.

Even if the kids manage to sit still for more than 10 minutes, chances are they aren’t going to finish their meal. But parents have a new tool to find deals on meals for kids with the KidsEatFor app that displays restaurants where kids eat for free with an adult meal purchase.

The iPhone app costs $2.99 and is designed to find local restaurants offering kid meal specials.

Clipping, organizing and maintaining coupons can take a lot of time and become a big hassle. RetailMeNot  has come up with a better alternative with its app for the iPhone and Android-based phones that searches for coupons on specific items you are buying.  The free app also allows you to browse by top coupons, popular stores and via a category listing. The free app also offers location-based coupons which means if you walk into a local retailer and it has a deal, you’ll get the coupon on the spot.
