Two breast scans: The one on the left is a 2D scan and abnormalities can be seen only on face value. The scan on the right is 3D, and though looks less clear, abnormalities seen on the 2D scan can be pinpointed and more accurately detected and measured using the 3D image.
Hologic’s 3D mammography center on wheels called the “Tomo” Coach stationed outside the NASDAQ in Times Square. The coach travels across the nation, allowing more women access to 3D mammogram technology.
