2013 State Tax Holiday Calendar
Alabama: Aug. 2-4
Items that will be tax-free include clothing less than $100, computers under $750, school supplies under $50 and books under $30.
Arkansas: Aug. 3-4
Clothing under $100 and school supplies will be tax free.
Connecticut: Aug. 18-24
Clothing and footwear under $300 will be exempt from taxes.
Florida: Aug. 2-4
School supplies under $15, clothing under $75 and computers under $750 will be exempt under the tax holiday.
Georgia: Aug. 9-10
The sales tax holiday will include school supplies under $20, clothing under $100 and computers under $1,000.
The state will have a second holiday Oct. 2-6 on energy and water efficient products under $1,500.
Iowa: Aug. 2-3
Clothing under $100 will be exempt from sales tax.
Louisiana: Aug.2-3
All tangible personal property under $2,500 will be exempt from sales tax. The state will have a second tax holiday from Sept. 6-8, 2013 on all firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies.
Maryland: Aug. 11-17
All clothing and footwear under $100 will be tax exempt.
Missouri: Aug. 2-4
Clothing under $100, computers under $3,500 and school supplies under $50 will be exempt under the tax holiday.
New Mexico: Aug. 2-4
This state will be offering a tax holiday on clothing under $100, school supplies under $30, computer equipment under $500 and computers under $1,000.
North Carolina: Aug. 2-4
Clothing and school supplies under $100, instructional material under $300, computers under $3,500 and sports equipment under $50 will be tax exempt. The state has a second tax holiday on Energy Star products from Nov. 1-3.
Oklahoma: Aug. 2-4
Clothing under $100 will be tax exempt.
South Carolina: Aug. 2-4
Clothing, school supplies and computers will be exempt from sales tax.
Tennessee: Aug. 2-4
Clothing under $100, school supplies under $100 and computers under $1,500 will be tax free.
Texas: Aug. 9-11
Clothing, backpacks and school supplies under $100 will be available for exemption under the holiday.
Virginia: Aug. 2-4
Tax exemptions are eligible on purchases of clothing under $100 and school supplies under $20. The state has a second tax holiday from Oct. 11-14 on Energy Star products.
