The trade spat with China may lift prices of novelty hats baring President Trump’s slogan.

Trump's tariff threats earlier this year against China, Mexico, Canada and European Union elicited quick retaliatory measures that depressed the prices of certain U.S. agricultural products, including corn, soybeans, pork.

Hatch warned that the president’s tariffs against China could have adverse effects on American businesses and the economy.

Washington recently imposed 25-percent tariffs on $34 billion of Chinese imports, and Beijing responded with tariffs on the same amount of U.S. exports to China.

The Trump administration most recently announced it was looking to impose another round of tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.

On Friday, the S&P 500 index finished above 2,800 for the first time since Feb. 1.

Tough talk on trade may be just that.
