So far, Bloomberg -- one of the richest people in the world -- has dropped an astonishing $225 million on his campaign.

Under the proposal, families making under $250,000 and individuals making less than $200,000, would receive a 10 percent cut under their current tax rate.

So far asset markets are not fazed by the election, researchers said.

A wide coalition of 18 grassroots progressive groups joined together to call for a truce between the two senators and their allies. 

California unveiled a similar proposal last week.
