The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.55 points to close at 21,409.07, with shares of General Electric Co. and Boeing Co. leading blue chips higher. The S&P 500 index declined 1.90 points, or less than 0.1%, to end at 2,425.53, with only two sectors closing higher, tech with a 0.4% gain, and energy with a 0.5% gain. Financials and telecom led decliners, both with a 0.7% retreat. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed up 16.91 points, or 0.3%, at 6,193.30.
