Stocks Close Lower As Energy, Financials Weigh

U.S. stocks closed lower Tuesday with investors pulling back from multiple days of gains as oil prices declined and bank stocks weighed on the market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down 50.81 points, or 0.2%, at 21,029.47, led lower by shares of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. . The S&P 500 index finished down 2.91 points, or 0.1%, at 2,412.91, with the energy and financial sectors weighing on the index. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed down 7.00 points, or 0.1%, at 6,203.19. Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq snapped seven-session winning streaks with the close lower.
