Microsoft Expands Board To Include LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman

Microsoft Corp. said late Tuesday it expanded its board to 12 members with the addition of LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. "I've long admired Reid's ability to identify disruptive technologies and the passion we share for how digital platforms can create new opportunity for people around the world," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in a statement. In December, Microsoft finalized its $26.2 billion acquisition of LinkedIn. Microsoft shares were unchanged at $64.41 after hours, following a 0.5% decline during the regular session.
