U.S. stocks opened marginally lower on Wednesday, after both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite Index logged a sixth straight drop in the prior sessions, as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's lead over Republican Donald Trump continued to narrow, according to the latest polling data. The S&P 500 shed 5 points, or 0.2%, to 2,106. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 55 points, or 0.3%, to17,986. The Nasdaq was off 8 points, or 0.1%, to 5,146.
