S&P 500, Dow, Nasdaq Log Record Closes

The S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite closed at record levels on Monday -- the second time all three indexes have notched new highs on the same day since 1999. U.S. shares were helped to fresh highs by a sharp rise in oil prices. The S&P 500 gained 6 points, or 0.3%, to 2,190, led by materials and industrials shares. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 29 points, or 0.6%, to 5,262. The Dow added 60 points, or 0.3%, to 18,635, led by DuPont and Caterpillar Inc. .
