Ulta Shares Rally After Earnings Top Street View

Ulta Salon Cosmetics & Fragrance Inc. shares rallied in the extended session Thursday after the makeup retailer topped Wall Street estimates for the quarter. Ulta shares surged 6.5% to $227.59 after hours. The company reported first-quarter earnings of $1.45 a share on revenue of $1.07 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated earnings of $1.29 a share on revenue of $1.03 billion. Ulta sees second-quarter earnings of $1.32 to $1.37 a share on revenue of $1.06 billion. Analysts expect $1.40 a share on revenue of $1.03 billion.
