Dow Snaps 7-session Win Streak After Brussels Terror Attacks

U.S. stocks finished mostly lower on Tuesday after a series of deadly attacks in Brussels rattled global markets. The S&P 500 finished 1.78 points, or 0.1%, lower at 2,049.82, while the Dow industrials finished 40.47 points, or 0.2%, lower at 17,583.19, snapping a seven-session win streak. The Nasdaq Composite managed a slight gain, rising 12.79 points, or 0.3%, to 4,821.66. It benefited from gains in Amazon.com Inc. and Apple Inc. . Sharp gains in health-care shares helped both the S&P 500 and Dow finish off their session lows. UnitedHealth Group Inc. was the blue-chip benchmark's biggest gainer, while losses by Goldman Sachs Group shaved about 15 points off the Dow. Transocean Ltd. and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. were among the biggest losers on the S&P.
