Barracuda Slides As Quarterly Results Fall Short

Shares of Barracuda Networks Inc. skidded in Thursday's extended session after the security and storage company's losses widened in the latest quarter. Barracuda reported a third-quarter loss of $1.6 million, or 3 cents a share, compared with a loss of $36,000 a year ago. On an adjusted basis, the company earned 7 cents a share. Revenue rose 14% to $80.1 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had projected earnings of 8 cents a share on revenue of $80.3 million. Barracuda shares fell 11% in after-hours trading.
